Velmo One

Quick start

Power on. Connect. Protect.

In a few minutes, Velmo puts your screens on a separate network that is ready to protect them.

Start setup

Before you start

  • Velmo One and its power supply
  • A phone or computer
  • Your home Wi-Fi name and password, if you will not use a cable
  • The network password printed on the box

Choose your route

How will Velmo connect to home?

A cable is the simplest route. If your router is far away, use your home Wi-Fi.

Recommended

With a cable to the router

For homes with a spare port on the router.

  1. 1

Connect a network cable from Velmo's WAN port to a spare port on your home router.

  2. 2

Connect the power supply and wait for Velmo to start.

  3. 3

From a phone or computer already on your home network, open velmo-one.local.

  4. 4

Choose a username and password for the Velmo console.

No cable

With your home Wi-Fi

For placing Velmo where your router cable cannot reach.

  1. 1

Turn on Velmo without connecting the WAN cable.

  2. 2

On your phone, join the VELMO-ONE network with the password printed on the box.

  3. 3

Open velmo-one.local and choose a console username and password.

  4. 4

Under Device, open Home network and enter your Wi-Fi name and password.

  5. 5

When VELMO-ONE disappears, return to your home Wi-Fi and open velmo-one.local again.

Almost there

Now move your screens onto VELMO

Use the VELMO network with the password on the box, or one of Velmo's two LAN ports. Screens are recognised automatically.

  • Choose VELMO on your TV or projector and enter the password printed on the box.

  • Or connect the screen to either LAN port.

  • Open velmo-one.local from your home network to see the screens that joined.
